Tracking tracks

This morning I tracked snowy plover tracks on the beach.

And found other tracks on the beach.

I saw a couple of my favorite trackmakers on the beach.

And then I saw the Pacific Surfliner going by on tracks (of course) on the beach. This was especially exciting since it only goes by a couple times a day and this is the first time I've seen it, and I just love trains.

EDITED to fix video. I had to convert it so it would work and it took me a day to realize that was the problem. :)

Oh, I love trains! I'm so jealous! Every once in a while, on a clear night, we can hear the trains running through Burbank. It reminds me of home.

Katie--wow. you can hear all the way from Burbank?

one of the houses we're looking at right now has a train track nearby (about a block and a half). apparently the train doesn't go by that often but it DOES go by.

Cool pics!! Think of land-locked me the next time you're on the beach. Sigh.
