Getting Ready for Conference
I'm going out of town this week, which means I have to work ahead so I'll be ready to go off to conference next week. One thing I'd forgotten about was business cards, so yesterday I did something I swore I'd never do again. I ordered them through my arch nemesis, Vista Print.Every once in a while (or maybe twice), a vendor will piss me off so much that they get put on my I'll never do business with you again list.
But, it turns out that never is a very long time and I can only make good for about four or five years. Maybe that's good. I'll have some rather nice cards for National. (Or else Vista Print will get put back on the list. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.)
I've also got a bit of last minute knitting. The tunic top I thought I was going to wear to the big book signing makes me look like a sausage, so I'm going to wear something else instead, and I need a splash of color for my agent appointment so I'm knitting up some lace weight Noro I bought when I was in Japan that I'd meant to do anyway but forgot.
And that workshop I'm presenting with my American Title Sisters? I gotta work on my part of that too.
There's also a book I've been meaning to finish. There's still just a little bit more to go, but I'm stuck at that point where no matter how much I work on it the end isn't getting nearer--even though it's in sight. I know that eventually, if I keep plodding away I will get there. Any day now--even today, because I'm going to be in the car on the road with my laptop and no internet. Sounds like a good writing day.

The cards look lovely. And I'm so glad they're not that godawful rose! :-) Good luck at National. Have fun, and give my best to, well, everybody! :-)
