Goodbye George
I remember when he did this bit on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. Not the same edge that he developed as he got older. Not as much anger. But very funny and part of my formative years.
Rest in peace baby.

Wow, strange seeing him looking so young. And in black and white!
I am glad I went to see him when he performed in Santa Cruz a couple years ago. Laughter is truly one of the most important things in our weary world. RIP George.
PBS just announced last Wednesday that George will be given the Mark Twain Prize for Comedy. ACK!
In my formative years in broadcast regulation and control class, the case of Pacifica vs FCC was legendary.
