Spring is Here

We have gorgeous blue-skied weather, flowers are blooming, and I'm celebrating with lavender toes. I actually had them done in honor of Meg and Nick's wedding. They are two of the eight who schlepped with me through Japan last summer.

You might remember Meg from this picture. I had major shoe envy while we were traveling, what with me and my blisters and her with her Keens. Meg has to be one of the grooviest people I know because not only was she a gorgeous picture of womanhood on this special day, but she wore red ballerina sneakers.

I, of course, was in painful shoes again. (Some people never learn; too bad I'm one of them.) In fact, I was climbing around on the rocks at the beach in two inch heels. Not the most fun thing I've done lately.

Mother nature blessed this union by giving them the most glorious day I've ever seen on the central California coast.

Lovely, lovely, lovely.
Happy, happy, happy.

elen--I think they are actually called "sneaker flats." should have googled first. I'm going to fix that. they looked like this without the little bow.
