Phew . . .

The company that hosts my website and my blog is in England. That's because many years ago they hosted websites for free and I had two. When they changed to fee-for-hosting I decided to stay. (They're really very economical.) And I've been very happy with them. They're even still hosting a free website for me--I'm not sure why.

They have been outstandingly reliable. So much that I take it for granted. But this year they have gone down twice. And now that I'm hosting my blog there (while using Blogger to interface) I start to panic when I lose access. It's as if somehow my existence is tied up with the blog and when the blog is down--it's like I've disappeared.

They had some difficulty this weekend that took down my identity pages. But now I'm back.
